Commissioned as part of the 2004 Biennial Exhibition of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, El Tubo Completo again uses the material of the military's Quonset huts. The piece is a corrugated silver cylinder, 20 feet in diameter and 40 feet in length. SIMPARCH reconfigured the military debris to create a theatre-like space and wedged it into the museum's courtyard. Entering the structure, viewers alternately experience a soundtrack by Kevin Drumm and film by artist Deborah Stratman.
