As described in Arthur C. Clark’s novels and represented in Stanley Kubrick’s film, 2001, The Monolith is the physical presence of the alien force that assists mankind in its path of evolution. It was faithfully reproduced in the 1:4:9 ratio. In this chapter, the Monolith acts as a showcase for DUCK CAPSULE Launch. Duck Tape items in the capsule were taken to the stratosphere and recovered on the ground in two separate events.
